Ismail Adarzane and Friends

Champion and Professional Kitesurfer Ismail Adarzane rides for F-One and Manera brands but he is also an entrepreneur and owner of Mogasurf Kite and Surf School in Essaouira, Morocco. During my travels through Morocco, I met Ismail through a mutual friend and shot some surf photos. He then introduced me to some surf friends for photos which partially led me to pursue my passion for surfing and surf photography. We all shared some waves and laughs with friends on the beach. Eventually leading to the involvement with his brother Younes Adarzane and his surf business Loving Surf Essaouira.

It was a pleasure to shoot Ismail, unfortunately, due to equipment limitations, some of the action shots are not as sharp as I would like and missed some amazing opportunities. Not to mention losing my best and favourite images due to a hard drive malfunction. Hard lessons learnt : always backup to your Cloud!

As a professional athlete, Ismail Adarzane has the grit and discipline to run a business, be a dad and follow his passion. His knowledge and experience is infectious but also his warmth and patience as a teacher keep you learning in and out of the water.
